Social Action

The aim of the Social Justice Committee is two-fold.  First to offer hands-on assistance to those who are on the fringes of society and secondly to address the root causes of this alienation.  This committee organizes our parish participation with the Safe Haven Family Shelter, the Hope Clinic for Women, Habitat for Humanity houses, and the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen as well as providing a Christmas Angel Tree for clients served by Catholic Charities.  The Social Justice Committee also offers forums and lectures to seek understanding of societal ills and advocates action steps to address their solutions through participation in Catholic Day on the Hill, a yearly Voter's Registration drive and contact with City, State and Federal Leadership.
